UK-based interactive dog toy company, Tug-E-Nuff, is marking its 15th anniversary with a special charity initiative and a free community event aimed at celebrating the importance of positive play in dogs’ lives.

In honour of this milestone, Tug-E-Nuff will be matching customer donations up to £3,000 for two charities: Bristol Animal Rescue Centre and Animals in Distress. The company is also donating a selection of its interactive toys to these organisations to enrich the lives of the dogs in their care through the power of play. Donations can be made at checkout until 27th October.

Charity Support and Enriching Play for Rescue Dogs

Tug-E-Nuff’s decision to match donations up to £3,000 reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting animal welfare. The funds raised will provide much-needed support to the two chosen charities, both of which are dedicated to caring for dogs in need. Additionally, Tug-E-Nuff’s donation of their interactive toys aims to enhance the mental and physical well-being of rescue dogs by promoting positive, engaging playtime.

“We hope our fundraising makes a significant difference to our charity partners, especially following such an exceptionally tough year for fundraising and managing care required to keep dogs fit, well, and healthy,” commented Danny Rouse, co-founder of Tug-E-Nuff.

Launch of Expert Q&A Series on Positive Play

As part of its 15th-anniversary celebrations, Tug-E-Nuff is launching a limited series of Q&A videos featuring prominent figures in the pet industry. The series will focus on the benefits of positive play and include contributions from dog trainers, behaviourists, and veterinary professionals. Among the experts are Michael Shikashio, CDBC, founder of AggressiveDog.com, and dog trainer Justine Schuurmans.

The video series will consist of 15 episodes, with each new video being released weekly on Tug-E-Nuff’s digital platforms starting in September. This initiative is designed to educate dog owners on the importance of interactive play in strengthening the bond between dogs and their owners, while also addressing common behavioural challenges.

Free ‘Birthday Pawty’ Event at Tug-E-Nuff HQ

Tug-E-Nuff will host a free ‘Birthday Pawty’ at its headquarters in Exmouth on 26th October. The event will feature talks and demonstrations from local dog trainers, as well as a toy refresh station, where attendees can bring their favourite Tug-E-Nuff toys to be revitalised. There will also be giveaways, a doggy escape room experience, and a chance to meet the Tug-E-Nuff team, including co-founders Danny and Teresa Rouse.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to see how Tug-E-Nuff toys are made and connect with other local dog businesses. Each guest will receive a complimentary pawty bag as a thank-you for joining the celebration.

Reflecting on the company’s 15 years in the industry, Danny Rouse said, “What better way to celebrate our 15th year than by recognising and giving back to all the dog owners and professionals, businesses and charities across the UK enriching the lives of dogs.”

Supporting the Dog Community

Tug-E-Nuff’s anniversary celebration is not only a reflection of the company’s growth over the past 15 years but also a demonstration of its ongoing commitment to supporting dog welfare and the dog-owning community. Through both the charity initiative and the free event, the company aims to foster a sense of community among dog owners, trainers, and local businesses, while promoting the importance of positive play in dogs’ lives.

The anniversary celebration provides an opportunity for the public to engage with Tug-E-Nuff’s mission of enriching the lives of dogs and to show support for the charities helping vulnerable animals.

With Tug-E-Nuff’s charity fundraising, expert-led video series, and interactive community event, the company continues to advocate for the benefits of play in maintaining dogs’ health and happiness, as it embarks on the next chapter of its journey.
