Dorwest Herbs, a specialist in herbal pet care, has launched a new website aimed at improving the customer shopping experience.

The company has made several updates to its digital platform, aligning the refreshed website with the brand’s packaging redesign earlier this year.

The improvements to the website reflect changes in both the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CMS (Content Management System) platforms. These changes are designed to ensure a faster, more efficient, and secure experience for customers. The updates include a range of new features aimed at enhancing usability and security across the site.

Key Website Updates

The redesigned website introduces new payment methods, including Shop Pay and Apple Pay, with a streamlined one-page checkout process. This move aims to make it easier and quicker for customers to complete their purchases.

In addition to the new payment options, the website now reflects the brand’s updated design, which incorporates elements from the packaging rebrand. This includes herbal illustrations and revised content to ensure consistency across all platforms.

A key feature of the new site is enhanced data security. The website now eliminates the need for passwords, instead utilising secure codes to protect customer information. This upgrade reinforces the brand’s commitment to offering a safe and reliable online shopping experience.

The website has also been optimised for mobile users, improving responsiveness and reducing the likelihood of timeouts during transactions. Customers can also benefit from a more refined shopping experience, with enhanced address accuracy and better order tracking.

Navigation has been improved with clearer internal linking, and the addition of condition carousels and icons throughout the site. This makes it easier for customers to find the products they need, while enriched product information – including updated descriptions, imagery, and videos – offers a more detailed view of each item.

Feedback from Dorwest Customers

The decision to upgrade the website came after Dorwest conducted a survey of its existing customers, gathering nearly 1,000 responses from retail and trade customers, partners, and ambassadors. These insights were used to update the company’s brand proposition and customer profile earlier this year, influencing the development of the new website.

Jo Boughton-White, Managing Director of Dorwest Herbs, explained the importance of these changes: “The digital projects have been crucial to ensure the best shopping experience possible for our customers – some of which have shopped with us for over 40 years! The new platforms are easier for staff to use, allowing transactions to be quicker – with more satisfied pets at the end of the day!”

Industry Recognition

Dorwest Herbs continues to build its reputation within the pet care industry. The brand has received recognition for its online presence, having won Best B2C Performance for Pet & Livestock at the 2023 Direct Commerce Awards. Additionally, Dorwest was named Online Business of the Year at the PIF Awards 2022, further solidifying its standing in the market.

The launch of the new website is part of the company’s ongoing effort to adapt to customer needs and enhance its service offering. With these updates, Dorwest is poised to continue its growth and provide its customers with an improved, user-friendly shopping experience.
