Leading veterinary group, Harrison Family Vets, announced the launch of two new practices in Sheffield and Wigan in early 2024 as part of a substantial £700,000 investment initiative.
The veterinary enterprise is investing in the conversion of a former pub on Mosborough’s High Street, situated approximately eight miles from Sheffield city centre, into a state-of-the-art practice. Simultaneously, the company is in the process of outfitting a newly constructed unit in Tyldesley, Wigan, positioned off Moseley Common Road.
The group is actively seeking professionals to join their team, advertising vacancies for clinic directors, veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses, and client care coordinators across both locations.
Innovative Facilities and Ethos
The upcoming practices will have unique waiting areas feature bespoke pods, spaced a minimum of two metres apart. This innovative layout allows clients their private space while ensuring pets remain shielded from the typical stress of encountering other animals in a conventional waiting room.
Kristie Faulkner, Operations Director at Harrison Family Vets, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion. He said, “We’re thrilled to embark on our two latest practice projects, already receiving applications from potential team members. Our ethos revolves around fostering a distinct team culture, setting us apart from the rest.”
Faulkner emphasised the importance of recruiting pet owners to the team, underlining the group’s commitment to creating a familial environment, pushing the boundaries of pet care, customer service, and employee welfare beyond the conventional veterinary practice setup.
Established in the UK in 2021, Harrison Family Vets currently operates five practices situated near Reading in Woodley, Kingswinford in the West Midlands, Didsbury in South Manchester, Stockton-on-Tees near Middlesborough, and their latest site at Armthorpe in Doncaster.
