The Kennel Club International Agility Festival will return to Rutland Showground for the fourth consecutive year.

Scheduled from 8-11 August 2024, this event will attract thousands of dogs and their owners from the UK and abroad. Supported by Skinner’s, the festival promises an exciting display of agility and competition.

Competitors from Around the World

The Kennel Club welcomes dogs of all sizes, shapes, and breeds to compete in this renowned agility competition. More than 2,000 handlers and their dogs from 14 countries are set to participate. The festival features competitions across four dog size categories (small, medium, intermediate, and large), with events held across 18 rings and 200 classes. Both novice and professional competitors will have the opportunity to showcase their skills.

While entries for the 2024 International Agility Festival have closed, spectators and their dogs are encouraged to attend and enjoy the world-class displays for free, with no advance booking required.

Catherine Guiver, Head of Events at The Kennel Club, expressed her enthusiasm for the event: “We are delighted to be welcoming competitors from all over the world to the International Agility Festival. Whether you are just starting out in agility or a seasoned professional, there is a competition for everyone, with a fantastic atmosphere both in and out of the competition rings.

“We would like to thank Skinner’s for their ongoing support, Rutland Showground for hosting this event for the fourth year, and the local residents for welcoming everyone back to the area.”

Traffic and Travel Information

Peak traffic times around the International Agility Festival are expected on Wednesday 7 August as competitors arrive. Planned diversion routes will affect traffic from the North A46 and Nottingham heading south to Oakham, as well as traffic from the South heading North, and from Melton Mowbray. There will be a partial closure of the A606 Burton Road, but the A606 Nottingham Road in and out of Melton Mowbray will remain open to the north. Drivers are advised to allow extra time for journeys as roads around the Showground will be busier during these peak times. More details on local road closures can be found here.
