Pawable, the UK-based dog supplement company, has introduced an update to its popular collagen joint care product for dogs.

Known for its five types of hydrolysed collagen, the newly improved formula now includes undenatured type II collagen (UC-II), which has been shown to assist in joint cartilage repair by activating immune cells.

Neil Durrant, the founder of Pawable, explained the significance of this development. “The undenatured collagen works in perfect harmony with our hydrolysed collagen, which provides the nutritional building blocks to support collagen production,” he said. “We have received excellent feedback from dog owners whose pets have benefited from our product, and this latest improvement is aimed at helping even more dogs enjoy better mobility and comfort.”

Pawable’s collagen supplement has been used by thousands of dogs across the UK. The product’s ability to support joint health has made it a valuable addition to many dogs’ diets, with positive results reported by numerous owners. One such case is Miley, a dog from Wendover, Bucks, who suffered a severe back injury during a walk in the woods. Her owner, Jonothan, feared she would never walk properly again.

Pawable’s Impact on Dogs’ Mobility

Miley’s recovery has been notable, largely thanks to Pawable’s collagen supplement, known as Collar-Gen. After beginning treatment with the supplement, Miley gradually regained her mobility. Jonothan, an RAF defence trainer, shared his experience: “It has helped with walks, since being on Collar-Gen we take her on two walks a day, and she is able to do the same the next day as well. Her weight has been dropping steadily, and Miley can now enjoy a few treats without us worrying about her weight affecting her risk of arthritis.”

Although Miley will always have a slight limp, her overall condition has improved significantly. She can now go on 90-minute walks with ease, something that once seemed impossible after her injury. “Miley has now been signed off from physio, with check-ups scheduled every three months. We are just happy to have her back, happy and full of energy,” Jonothan added.

Combining Hydrolysed and Undenatured Collagen

The inclusion of undenatured type II collagen (UC-II) in Pawable’s latest formula is a major development in dog joint care. Unlike hydrolysed collagen, which supplies the body with the necessary components to build collagen, undenatured collagen works by triggering the body’s immune response to repair and rebuild joint cartilage. Studies have shown that UC-II can be beneficial in reducing joint pain and improving mobility, making it a promising addition to dog joint supplements.

Neil Durrant highlighted the innovation behind this new formula: “This is the first and only product of its kind that combines the power of multiple hydrolysed collagens with undenatured collagen. We are thrilled to offer a product that not only supports joint health but also helps dogs live more comfortable and active lives.”

Durrant notes that the combination of hydrolysed and undenatured collagen is proving to be an effective solution for many pets suffering from joint-related issues.

“We are proud to have created a product that is making a difference in so many dogs’ lives. Seeing dogs thrive on our product makes all the hard work worthwhile,” he said.
