For the fourth year, Dignity Pet Crematorium has launched its Christmas Charity Baubles campaign to support pet-related charities during the holiday season.

The pet crematorium, which specialises in individual pet cremations, has set up a fundraiser where families can honour their pets with unique Christmas baubles, each commemorating cherished memories. The baubles will adorn the Monkey Puzzle Tree at the entrance of the crematorium’s grounds, providing families with a special place to visit throughout the season.

Last year, the campaign raised £1,100 with over 290 baubles created. This year, Dignity Pet Crematorium aims to raise even more funds for the ten chosen charities. Proceeds from the Christmas baubles will go directly to organisations that work year-round to support animal welfare, helping sustain them during the often difficult winter months.

Supporting Charities

In addition to the Christmas baubles, Dignity Pet Crematorium has launched a food drive, inviting families and veterinary practices to donate sealed pet food. This initiative, known as the Dignity Christmas Food Bank, will distribute food to four pet charities, ensuring that pets in need receive nourishment during the holiday season. Sealed food donations can be left in a dedicated collection box located in the Homecoming Building, with deliveries planned to reach the charities by Christmas Day.

Dignity Pet Crematorium owner Kevin Spurgeon expressed his commitment to supporting these organisations: “Christmas should be a time of celebration and reflection. We are looking to help those charities who work so hard to look after pets throughout the year. Winter can be particularly trying, especially for the smaller charities. Dignity wants every animal to be treated with dignity and respect – and this is our way to support them.”

Through the Christmas Charity Baubles and Food Bank initiatives, businesses can lend crucial support to charities that provide vital services for animals in need.
