CVS, a prominent veterinary services provider, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art small animal veterinary practice in Derby, aiming to provide top-notch care for local pets.
The newly established Ambivet complex, situated on Alfreton Road, is a £1.3 million facility spanning 3,500 square ft. at Northedge Business Park, equipped with the latest in veterinary technology.
Modern Facilities for Comprehensive Pet Care
The Ambivet complex boasts a range of modern facilities, including four consulting rooms accommodating a substantial number of vet and nurse appointments. It features two operating theatres, a specialised dental suite, an in-house laboratory, and digital X-ray facilities. To minimize stress for animal patients, the practice incorporates a spacious reception area with separate waiting zones for felines and canines. Furthermore, distinct dog and cat hospital wards are available for added comfort.
The CVS practice will be staffed by three highly skilled veterinary surgeons, initially focused on caring for various companion animals. The services offered encompass vaccinations, surgery, dentistry, X-ray, hospitalisation for day cases, and blood testing. Complementing the medical team, three veterinary nurses and two patient care advisors will conduct pet health clinics and cater to the needs of clients and their beloved animals.
Strategic Location and Accessibility
Ambivet Derby will administer The Healthy Pet Club, designed to provide preventative health treatment for puppies, kittens, cats, dogs, and rabbits. This initiative underscores the practice’s commitment to maintaining the well-being of pets through regular health check-ups and preventive measures.
The Ambivet Derby practice strategically located on Alfreton Road ensures convenient access for clients and ample parking for animal patients. The facility prioritizes inclusivity with full disabled access. Operating hours are set from Monday to Friday, 08:30 am to 18:00 pm, and Saturday, 09:00 am to 13:00 pm. For emergency care beyond regular hours and on weekends, clients can turn to Ambivet’s main Heanor branch.
Esther Wroughton, Regional Director at Ambivet Derby, expressed enthusiasm about the new venture, stating, “Our new facilities and experienced veterinary team mean we’ll be able to provide surgery and treatments right here – in addition to routine procedures and regular check-ups. We wanted to build a brand new practice in the heart of Derby to offer the best level of veterinary care and more appointments to local clients and their pets.”
