Dogstival, the acclaimed New Forest dog festival, is gearing up to become one of the UK’s most sustainable festivals, aiming to reduce its CO2 emissions by half for their upcoming event on 1st and 2nd June at Burley Park.

Already recognised as the ‘Best Pet Day Out in the UK’, Dogstival is taking strides towards environmental responsibility by implementing various carbon footprint reduction measures.In a bid to safeguard the New Forest National Park and contribute to global environmental efforts, Dogstival is embracing renewable technology to power its event. This includes harnessing solar and wind energy to charge large-scale battery packs for arenas and stages. Additionally, backup generators will utilise biofuel, significantly reducing emissions by approximately 74%.

Eco-Friendly Initiatives

Dogstival’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond energy sources. The festival aims to recycle 70% of all waste, making it their most eco-friendly event to date. With these initiatives in place, Dogstival seeks to deliver an unforgettable experience for over 10,000 expected canine attendees while prioritising environmental conservation.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Burley Park, Dogstival 2024 promises a plethora of ‘have a go’ activities for dogs and their owners. From flyball and agility to barkour and scent work, the festival offers a diverse range of dog sports and entertainment. Spectators can enjoy displays of canine tricks, games, and agility challenges by working dogs from the police and search and rescue teams.

Highlights and Entertainment

Attendees can indulge in the Dogfuriendly Muddy Paws Tavern, offering dog beer, bingo, and breed meet-ups. The Hound Dog Music Stage will host live entertainment, while the Canine MOT Centre provides the latest in canine health and wellbeing. With over 130 stands offering canine goodies and treats, as well as tempting food options, Dogstival ensures there’s something for every four-legged friend.
