Jerry Green Dog Rescue has announced a new feeding partnership with Vitalin Pet Food.

This three-month trial will see Vitalin, a Lincolnshire-based pet food brand, supply their nutrient-dense recipes to the rescue dogs across Jerry Green Dog Rescue centres in North Lincolnshire, South Lincolnshire, and Nottinghamshire.

For over a decade, Vitalin has been a steadfast supporter of Jerry Green Dog Rescue. Their team regularly participates in local events, volunteering to judge dog shows and supply prizes. They have also sponsored the Jerry Green Dog Rescue Summer Show and online photography competitions, providing a year’s worth of food as a prize to the winners. This ongoing generosity highlights Vitalin’s dedication to the local cause and their commitment to improving the lives of dogs.

As a platinum keystone partner to Jerry Green Dog Rescue for 2023 and 2024, Vitalin has consistently supported the charity through various fundraising initiatives, such as ’60 Miles in May’. Recently, a member of the Vitalin team participated in a sponsored Wing Walk to raise vital funds for the organisation. Beyond financial contributions, Vitalin frequently donates sustainably sourced and responsibly reared food to feed the dogs cared for by the charity.

Impact on Rescue Dogs

Before this partnership, Vitalin worked with Jerry Green Dog Rescue to provide specific feeding plans for some of the dogs in their care. One notable case is Koby the Husky, who arrived at the rescue in a poor state and was considerably underweight. Thanks to Vitalin’s nutritious food, Koby has made a remarkable recovery and is now ready for adoption. Jerry Green Dog Rescue is immensely grateful to Vitalin for their continuous support and kindness, which makes recoveries like Koby’s possible.

The new partnership, which launches on Monday 8th July, will see Vitalin supply grain-free Chicken, Thyme & Root Vegetable food, specially formulated for puppies, small breeds, and adult dogs. This consistent supply of high-quality food allows the centre teams to focus more on enriching and welfare-focused activities with the dogs in their care.
