The UK pet industry has rallied together to provide crucial aid to abandoned pets in Ukraine through a significant donation drive coordinated by the Pet Industry Federation (PIF).

Aiming to support the U-Hearts Foundation in Ukraine, the donation drive has seen the delivery of two lorry-loads containing 56 pallets of essential pet products, including food, treats, health and hygiene items, and supplements. An additional 26 pallets are scheduled to arrive this month, demonstrating the industry’s commitment to aiding vulnerable pets and pet owners in challenging regions.

Contributing Companies

Several UK pet companies have generously contributed to the donation drive, including Lintbells, DoggyRade, Benyfit Natural, Zealandia Pet Food, Byotrol, Denzel’s, Pet Family, The Big Biscuit Company, Itch Pet, and Aventix. Their contributions will directly benefit pet shelters, volunteers caring for abandoned pets, and vulnerable pet owners in Ukraine.

Nigel Baker, CEO of PIF, expressed gratitude for the ongoing generosity of the UK pet trade, emphasising the significant impact of these donations in war-torn areas of Ukraine. He thanked all contributors for their support and reaffirmed the industry’s commitment to standing with Ukraine during these challenging times.
