Crufts, the world-renowned dog show organised by The Kennel Club, is set to return to the NEC in Birmingham from 6–9 March 2025.
Tickets are now on sale for the four-day event, which is expected to welcome over 20,000 dogs and more than 150,000 visitors.
The show, a global celebration of dogs, will feature over 200 breeds and a packed schedule of competitions, displays, and events. Highlights include agility, flyball, heelwork to music, and obedience contests. Each day will culminate in a group winner advancing to the prestigious Best in Show final, scheduled for Sunday evening.
Alongside the competitions, the Discover Dogs area will host over 200 breeds, offering visitors a chance to learn about the unique characteristics and care needs of various dogs. Experts will be on hand to provide advice for prospective owners, while The Kennel Club Breed Rescue organisations will share information about rehoming rescue dogs.
The event will also showcase The Kennel Club Hero Dog Award, recognising five courageous dogs for their extraordinary contributions, as well as the Scruffts final for crossbreeds.
Opportunities for Education and Engagement
Visitors can explore numerous opportunities to engage with the world of dogs. The Kennel Club’s Good Citizen Dog Training scheme will run demonstrations and displays, and the Dog Activities ring will introduce guests to activities like agility and obedience. Young attendees, inspired by the action, can learn about joining the Young Kennel Club, which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2025.
The event will also include displays by Medical Detection Dogs and West Midlands Police Dogs, highlighting the vital roles dogs play in society. Catherine Guiver, Head of Events at The Kennel Club, shared her excitement about the event, saying, “It’s nearly that time of year again, and we are so excited to be welcoming thousands of dogs and their owners to the Midlands, once more. Crufts is a true celebration of dogs – of all shapes, sizes and breeds – from pedigree dogs, crossbreeds, rescue dogs, service and heroic dogs – proving that every dog has its day.”
Supporting Good Causes
The Stand Up to Cancer Crufts Walkies Challenge will return in 2025, encouraging participants to walk 60 miles in April to support cancer research. The initiative has raised over £2 million in recent years, uniting dog lovers for a worthy cause.
Crufts will also feature over 500 stalls offering a range of products and services for dogs and their owners, as well as showcasing dog-focused charities and organisations.
