Goodwoof, presented by MARS Petcare, is set to welcome back Clare Balding CBE, the renowned author, journalist, and presenter, for a vibrant weekend celebrating all things dog-related.
Scheduled for Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May, Goodwoof promises an array of activities as The Kennels opens its doors to visitors and their beloved canine companions. Clare Balding will grace the event’s Literary Corner, sharing excerpts from her newest book, ‘Isle of Dogs: A canine adventure through Britain’.
This engaging narrative explores the multifaceted roles dogs play in our lives, as well as their integral presence in British culture. Clare’s book also encapsulates her fond experiences from the previous year’s Goodwoof, capturing the vibrant essence of the festival, from mesmerising dog performances to the thrill of CaniCross competitions.
Literary Corner’s Esteemed Guests
Joining Clare at the Literary Corner will also be British author Tracey Corderoy, previously part of Goodwoof in 2023, as well as illustrator Steven Lenton, presenting their latest children’s book, ‘Shifty McGifty and Slippery Sam: Train Trouble’. The Literary Corner, renowned for hosting an array of acclaimed personalities, has been a serene haven for visitors of all ages, offering an opportunity to immerse themselves in engaging tales inspired by our four-legged friends.
