Dorwest Herbs has announced its sponsorship of Bridport-based swimmer Harry Stewart as he competes in the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.
Harry, who was born near Dorwest’s headquarters, has had an impressive year, securing his place on Team GB with a series of remarkable achievements.
Harry Stewart, who only turned 20 in May, has already made a name for himself in the world of para swimming. Competing in the S14 category, which is designated for intellectually impaired athletes, Harry has excelled on the international stage. His 2023 highlights include winning Gold at the European Para Swimming Championships in Madeira and Berlin, securing a multi-classification Bronze at the World Series event in Aberdeen, and claiming the Para Swimming National title at the Aquatics GB Swimming Championships in London.
Harry’s journey in swimming began at local clubs, including Bridport Barracudas, South Dorset Tornadoes, and West Dorset Swimming Club. More recently, he has been training with Plymouth Leander Swimming Club, where his talent has continued to flourish.
Support for a Local Talent
Dorwest Herbs, a company known for its natural supplements for pets, is thrilled to be supporting Harry as he heads to the Paralympics. Managing Director Jo Boughton-White expressed the company’s excitement about this sponsorship: “We’re over the moon to support Harry! It’s wonderful to support a local Paralympian, and we are very excited to cheer Harry on from the UK. We’ll be following his journey on our social channels.”
As a dog lover, Harry was already familiar with Dorwest products, using their supplements for his dog, Mila. The sponsorship includes a donation and a supply of natural products, which will support both Harry and Mila as they embark on this exciting journey.
Harry Stewart’s first race at the Paralympic Games is scheduled for Monday, 2nd September, at 9:24 am GMT. Dorwest Herbs will be following his progress closely and sharing updates on their social media channels.
