The Comedy Pet Photo Awards announces the release of the top 30 finalists for this year’s competition, showcasing a delightful array of humorous pet moments captured on camera.
Founded by professional photographers Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam, the Comedy Pet Photo Awards aim to highlight the joy and significance of pets in our lives while promoting animal welfare awareness. The competition features a diverse selection of amusing pet snapshots, including a cat stuck in a wall, a Kung Fu dog, a headless horse, and a gleeful donkey.
Expert Judging Panel
The finalists were chosen based on their photographic excellence and comedic appeal, undergoing evaluation by a panel of expert judges renowned for their love of animals. The judging panel includes TV presenter and conservationist Kate Humble, professional photographer Gerrard Gethings, comedian Mel Giedroyc, TV vet Emma Milne, and professional pet photographer Elke Vogelsang, among others.
All 30 finalists qualify for the People’s Choice Award, allowing the public to vote for their favourite funny pet photograph on the competition’s website. The voting period is open from May 10th to June 2nd, with one lucky voter standing a chance to win a £100 cash prize.
The winners of the 2024 Comedy Pet Photo Awards will be revealed on June 6th. The grand prize winner will receive £500 in cash along with a premium camera bag from ThinkTANK.
