Herbal pet care brand Dorwest Herbs has marked its 70th anniversary with a remarkable act of generosity, making its most substantial donation yet – a total of £9,000 – to various animal charities through the Dorwest Foundation.
This significant donation demonstrates Dorwest’s commitment to ongoing philanthropy, particularly directed towards enhancing the lives of dogs and cats in need of care, health improvement, and quality of life enhancement.
The Dorwest Foundation was established as a testament to the brand’s dedication to charitable causes. The foundation aims to aid dogs and cats that require care and support, as well as dogs involved in assistance, rescue, or medical roles to help humans.
Dorwest upholds its commitment to supporting animal welfare charities annually through the sale of dedicated foundation products – Keeper’s Mix® & Keeper’s Mix® Sensitive. A 10% of the profit from every sale of these products is directed towards supporting worthy causes. This year, Dorwest extended its assistance to five notable charities, each contributing significantly to animal welfare.
Impactful Contributions
Among the charities benefiting from Dorwest’s donation are Galgos Del Sol, Ferne Animal Sanctuary, The Pack Project, StreetVet, and Pawsome Pensions (NFRSA). Galgos Del Sol, a licensed charity operating in Spain and the UK, shelters and cares for over 300+ dogs, including their support for rescue dog Mistletoe’s recovery.
Ferne Animal Sanctuary, established over 80 years ago, is dedicated to rescuing and re-homing animals. The Pack Project works tirelessly to find homes in the UK for stray dogs and cats from Romania, also actively reducing the stray population through neutering programs. StreetVet provides vital care to pets on the streets, while offering essential services like vaccination, microchipping, and treatments.
Additionally, Pawsome Pensions (NFRSA) supports retired police and fire dogs from Devon, Dorset & Cornwall Police services and Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Services.
