The Kennel Club encourages competitors at Crufts 2024 to take advantage of health testing offerings, including discounted DNA testing, eye testing for all breeds, and free breathing assessments for brachycephalic breeds.
The Kennel Club will provide eye testing for all exhibitors and free Respiratory Function Grading (RFG) scheme assessments for Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, and Pugs at Crufts this year.
Promoting Canine Health and Wellbeing
With 60 eye testing appointments available per day, exhibitors have the opportunity to book appointments across the four days of the show from Thursday 7 to Sunday 10 March. Appointments are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and can be booked directly through The Kennel Club website. The BVA/KC/ISDS Eye scheme examination at Crufts 2024 is offered at a discounted rate of £30.00 per dog.
Free RFG scheme assessments for Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, and Pugs will be available on Thursday 7 March only. Appointments are booked on the day on a first-come, first-served basis, and exhibitors should arrange appointments with The Kennel Club team next to the vet check area by rings 15 and 22 in Hall 4 at Crufts. Exhibitors are required to bring their dog’s Kennel Club registration certificate for the appointment.
Helen Kerfoot, Crufts Show Manager, highlights the importance of accessible health testing at Crufts, aiming to reduce the transmission of health issues to puppies. The Kennel Club health team will be available throughout the event to assist owners and breeders interested in enhancing canine health.
Discounted DNA Testing
In addition to eye testing and RFG assessments, The Kennel Club offers a 20% discount on all DNA testing products at Crufts 2024. Interested individuals can visit the health team on The Kennel Club stand in Hall 3 to purchase discounted test kits.
For further information on health testing and to book appointments, exhibitors can also contact The Kennel Club health team online or speak directly with the team at Crufts.
