The Pet Industry Federation (PIF) has announced the commencement of its 2024 Innovation Award, aimed at honouring pioneering ideas and advancements within the pet industry, originating from innovative companies and individuals.

Open to all businesses operating in the pet sector, including those offering products, services, or technology, the Innovation Award seeks to spotlight and commend exceptional creativity and progress.

The Innovation Award forms an integral part of PIF’s Business of Pets conference, which serves as a platform to assist pet businesses in propelling themselves to the next level. Scheduled for Wednesday 5th to Thursday 6th June at the Cranfield Management Development Centre near Milton Keynes, the two-day conference features a comprehensive agenda with engaging speakers covering various aspects, from investment and distribution to sustainability and marketing strategies, along with legal counsel and mentoring.

Judging Process and Finalists

A panel of judges will shortlist ten finalists for the Innovation Award, granting them the opportunity to showcase their innovations at the Business of Pets conference, providing invaluable exposure to potential investors. The ultimate winner will be announced on the final day of the event.

Nigel Baker, CEO of PIF, expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, highlighting the positive reception received from last year’s conference attendees and emphasising the significance of acknowledging and appreciating innovation within the pet industry. He encouraged all pet innovators to participate in PIF’s Innovation of the Year Award.
