Petnow Inc., a pioneer in advanced biometrics technology for dogs and cats, is set to unveil its app, PetWayHome, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2024.

This innovative service aims to redefine the process of reuniting lost pets with their owners by leveraging state-of-the-art AI and complementary microchip technology.

Advanced Biometrics for Enhanced Identification

PetWayHome boasts advanced biometrics capabilities that go beyond traditional methods. Utilizing AI, the app can identify dogs and cats based on their unique nose and facial features. This cutting-edge technology is designed to facilitate quicker and more accurate reunions between pets and their owners.

Taking a significant leap forward, Petnow introduces automated size measurement and breed classification features to enhance the precision of identification. The app’s scanning capabilities now include not only breed classification but also size measurement, providing more detailed and accurate results. Additionally, users will receive notifications with zip code-based location information for added convenience.

Global Collaboration and Expansion

Dr. Jesse Joonho Lim, the CEO of Petnow Inc., revealed the company’s collaboration with insurers and government agencies in South Korea, France, and the United States. The proprietary pet biometrics developed by Petnow can be seamlessly integrated regardless of the pet’s microchipping status, streamlining the identification process.

Dr. Lim emphasized the introduction of additional technology to mitigate potential human errors arising from manual data input on pets’ profiles. The company’s commitment to innovation and accuracy is evident in its efforts to revolutionize pet identification.

While the Petnow app is already available for download in Spain, France, Germany, and the UK, it has garnered over 100,000 users globally. Pilot tests are also underway in various countries to integrate pet biometrics into the corresponding pet registries. Petnow Inc. is set to showcase PetWayHome, scheduled for launch in the second quarter of 2024, at booth 7A62 in Hall 7 of Fira Barcelona Gran Via during MWC Barcelona.
